Have you ever noticed...

I was in Wal-Mart yesterday, unfortunately sometimes I have to go there, and while I was checking out, I started talking to the person behind me at the checkout lane. Me being me, I said something about my program. She made a suggestion that I wish I had thought of. She said why not talk to DHR and ask them about sending these pages to the special needs children that go through there.

As soon as she said that, the first thing I thought was, "Why didn't I think of that?" The only reason I can think of is that I was so focused on the hospitals and places like that that it didn't enter my mind to think of other agencies. It really is a good idea. So I called the person she told me was in charge of the Alabama branch here and Athens and left a message for her about the program and that I would like to include her children in my monthly mailing list.

If anyone else has suggestions like that, please let me know. I'm always open to suggestions that will make this program better.

God's blessings to you all.

My Sister Had Her Baby

Joseph Karl Trucks Jr. (Jay) was born around 6:00 pm yesterday. He weighed 9 lbs and 3/4 of an ounce. He was 20 inches long. I don't have a picture to share with him yet but I just wanted to let everyone know.

Insurance, I'm Complaining!

I don't know about you, but I think insurance is one of the biggest cons around. I told you about the problems we had with Marcus a couple of weeks ago. Well, we just got the claims report in today. I know insurance can come in very handy, and I know that it does save money most of the time, but... Why do they have to keep raising the premium that I pay and decrease the benefits that I recieve? If it weren't for the fact that I had two small children, I'd drop the insurance all together. The trouble is, I can't afford to be without it because of the boys. What's a person to do? You can't afford to pay it, but you sure can't afford to be without it!

It's 1:30 in the morning here and I should be sound asleep. As you can see, I'm not.

We just watched the movie "Radio". If you haven't seem it, do so. It was great! No nudity, no bad language. Which seems to be a rarity these days. We really enjoyed it. It was nice to watch a movie that I didn't have to edit so that the boys didn't see things they weren't supposed to.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get some sleep now. I've got to get up in just a few hours and get Devin off to school. And unfortunately, I have to go to town. At the rate gas prices keep increasing, it may not be too much longer when I have to keep my car in the yard. My vehicle isn't really a gas gusslier, but it's just getting too expensive to keep going.

Bye for now. I pray that God keeps you safe and warm.

Blogger Commenting Tool

I go to this place called Blogger Forum. While I was there a friend told us about a commenting tool he has developed. If your interested in this go to http://comment.quodlibet.be/v2/. It's very easy to use. He tells you how and where to paste the script in. You can even say how you want it to look. I really like it better than the one he had before. With that one, you could not customize it. Give it a try.

Weird Dreams

As most of you know, my sister is supposed to have her child this week.

I just dreamed that I was going into labor. I felt the baby drop, felt him moving, the whole nine yards. It was so wild to go through that again. It's been a long time since I've felt that. I don't plan on going through it again, but it was nice to be reminded what it was like to have a little one inside me. I had forgotten just how it felt. It was a wonderful feeling.

Having a child can be a wonderful experience, but having someone you love to share it with is even better. In some ways, I miss that feeling. Don't get me wrong, I don't want any more children! But I enjoyed having my two children. I liked being pregnant. I just don't think I could handle any more. Two is more than enough for any sane person.

God's blessings to you all.

New Promotion

I plan on having an online auction just as soon as I can get a few items together for this. So please keep coming back to read this so you can find out when it will be happening. All items will be brand new, never been opened. Anything that is raised will go to this program.
